The Konkani Manyata Divas was celebrated with great grandeur, enthusiasm and cultural pride at St Joseph Vaz Church Mudipu on 23 August 2026 after 7.00am Eucharistic Celebration was presided by Rev. Fr Harry Dsouza along with Rev Fr Assisi Rebello and Rev Fr Vikas Pereira..
The celebrations began at 8.00 am at the Church Hall. The Guest of Honour for the occasion was Rev. Fr Harry Dsouza, Spiritual Director, Jeppu Seminary. The program was presided over by Rev Fr Assisi Rebello Parish Priest, in the presence of Rev. Fr Vikas Pereira Assistant Parish Priest, Sr Fatima Cardoza Superior Holy Family Convent, Mr. Arun Dsouza Vice-President of the Parish Pastoral Council, Mr. Roshan Dsouza Secretary and Mr. Joel Dsouza Coordinator of the 22 Commissions.
Collage competition was held for Childrens and prizes were distributed to the winners. The cultural program that followed was a vibrant celebration of Konkani culture and talent. Parishioners from the various association Choir, ICYM and YCS of the parish participated enthusiastically, presenting colourful and lively performances.
The program was ably and gracefully compered by Mrs. Dr. Preema Dsouza The formal program welcomed by Mr. Arun Dsouza Vice-President of the Parish Pastoral Council and concluded with a vote of thanks by Parish Pastoral Council Secretary Mr. Roshan Dsouza.
