As the Mangalore diocese has declared the year as the "Year of Children", focusing on the spiritual and social well-being of children. Themed "Our Children - Fruits of God's Kingdom," A special inauguration was held at St Joseph Vaz Church Mudipu on 1st February at 7.30am Mass. At the beginning of the Holy Mass All the Childrens of the parish took centre stage. In a symbolic gesture of belonging and participation, the children themselves inaugurated the year by offering flowers at the altar Special prayers were offered for the well-being and holistic growth of all children followed by Holy mass and holy Eucharistic Adoration liturgy was conducted by childrens. Parish priest Rev. Fr. Assisi Rebello, Asst Parish priest Rev Fr. Vikas Pereira, Sr. Fatima Cardoza Superior, Mr. Arun Dsouza Vice President PPC, Mr. Roshan Dsouza Secretary and all Parishioners witnessed this event.
