On the occasion of the transfer of Rev. Fr Shaun Rodrigues, Assistant Parish Priest of St Joseph Vaz Parish to Holy Cross Church, Cordel, a farewell programme was organized on June 28, 2020 after 7.00 am mass. The entire parish community thanked Fr Shaun Rodrigues for his services that he rendered for 17 months at St Joseph Vaz Church and Shrine as a deacon and then as Assistant Parish Priest. Mrs Irene Veigas, Secretary of Parish Pastoral Parishad read the citation, Fr. Benjamin Pinto felicitated and expressed his words of gratitude to Fr Shaun Rodrigues and wished him well in his new assignment which he will begin from July 2, 2020. Mr Naveen D’Souza, Vice- President of PPP presented a memento as a taken of love. And Fr. Shaun shared the experience as asst parish priest in mudipu Parish. On this Occasion Fr. Rockwin Pinto, Procurator St Joseph Seminary, Sr. Joaquina Dias, Mr Anil D’Souza, Co-ordinator of all the Committees were also present. Ms Veekshitha D’Souza compered the programme.
On the same day, an intercessory book “Vinovni” edited by Fr Shaun Rodrigues and published by St Joseph Vaz Shrine was released by Fr. Rockwin Pinto, Procurator of St Joseph Seminary, Mangalore. This book contains ten intercessory reflections based on biblical personalities, biblical verses and hymns. This book will also be used for intercessory prayers and adoration.
